SPATIAL AUDIO

The spatial design of sound is important across many different audio disciplines, from sound design and mixing for film, TV and virtual reality, to music mixing for Dolby Atmos, ambisonic composition, sound installation design and location/field sound recording. Considering the spatial experience created through sound, the posts published here will explore spatial aesthetics in immersive sound-worlds, addressing the how’s and, importantly, the why’s of sonic spatial design.
