Yann Novak’s beautiful track “The Ecstasy of Annihilation” is remixed by Lawrence English, Siavash Amini and Bethan Kellough on “Bathed in Light and Rapture” a new release on Room 40.

I created the Walking Parallel Streets Mix thinking of the journey home from a particular venue in Glasgow, past clubs and pubs with doors opening and closing, some of them in basements, others with crowds spilling out into the streets, and all the music I heard filtered in different ways through doors and walls and floors as I passed by, that mingled with the music I still had ringing in my ears from the shows I had been to. I would take different routes, but always using portions of two parallel streets. It has been a number of years since I have been there, and the memories of this are hazy and most likely an exaggerated imagining of what it sounded like.
